No limit hold’em is played using a standard 52-card deck with poker chips. The basic NL hold’em rules are:

• On the poker table, there is a dealer (D) button. The player to the left side of the dealer button is the small blind and starts the forced round. The player to the small blind’s left is the big blind and must contribute to the pot.
• From the NL hold’em rules, each player is dealt two cards face down when the round starts. These cards are the 'hole cards.'
• Five more community cards are dealt face-up at the table's centre in 3 separate stages.
• The first stage is the flop, where players get three cards to face up.
• The second stage is the turn, where players get 1 card face up.
• The final stage is the river; players get one last card with the face up.
• Players must combine two main cards and the five community cards on the table to make a strong hand using the five cards.
• Each stage has its playing round.
• If other players are at the table after the final round, the game goes to a showdown where the best hand takes the money in the pot.

No limit hold’em hands are ranked from the highest to the lowest. You can make hands from the two hole cards and five community cards. 

Straight Flush

The straight flush is the highest hand in no limit hold’em. It combines five cards of the same suit ranking consecutively; For example, 8, 7, 6, 5, and 4.

Four of a Kind

Also called the quads, it is a hand with four cards falling in the same rank. This is the highest four-of-a-kind you can achieve in no-limit hold'em.

Full House

A full house consists of three of a kind and a pair. These hands are ranked in descending order, and the player with the highest three-of-a-kind wins in case of a tie.

Flush

The no-limit hold'em flush comprises five cards of the same suit but not in a consecutive order that forms a straight flush.

Straight

A straight hand combines five cards from a different suit appearing consecutively. The highest card determines the winning straight in case of a tie.

Three of a Kind

A three-of-a-kind combines three cards of the same rank.

Two Pair

A two-pair combines two cards of the same rank with two other cards of the same rank that are different from the first pair.

Pair

A pair consists of two cards in the same rank without a hand value from the above mentioned categories.

High Card

The high card determines the winner if all players fail to make any of the hands mentioned above.

The game starts with posting blinds when playing no-limit hold'em poker on Big Cash. These are forced plays that begin the round. The two players to the dealer's left side will place a small and a big blind, respectively, with the big blind being twice the amount of the small blind. After posting the blinds, players get two cards with the face down.

Pre-Flop

Once you learn how to play NL hold’em, the pre-flop starts the first round of contributing to the pot, and the player to the dealer's left begins the game and the game proceeds clockwise. There are four actions to proceed;

Check – Stand pat and stay in the hand
Call – Contribute an amount that matches the big blind
Raise – Contribute a higher amount than the big blind, and other players must match the amount
Fold – Discard two hole cards and leave the game

The round will end when all players do not fold or go all in. If two or more players remain at the table, the game proceeds to the flop.

Flop

At the flop, the three community cards are dealt face up on the table. The player who played the small blind starts the round. No limit hold’em players can decide to check and not contribute money to the pot. The round proceeds to the turn when all players choose not to fold or go all-in to match the highest individual contribution to the pot.

Turn

Players receive one community card at the turn to begin a new poker round. This round still follows the same rules as the flop.

River

After completing the turn, players will receive one last community card to start the final round. If more than two players are left in this round, the no-limit hold’em game goes to a showdown.

Showdown

In the no-limit hold'em showdown, the active players on the table must show their hands, and the highest-ranking hand wins. Players will show their hands in order instead of at the same time.
